Are you a patient, family member or volunteer struggling with the cost of getting to hospital?
The Patient and Volunteer Support Fund is here to help patients, their families or carers whose finances are impacted by a hospital stay or the need to visit hospital regularly.
The fund can support:
- Patients who need financial support with public transport* to attend their appointments.
- People who need financial help with public transport costs, to visit patients that need their support.
- Active hospital volunteers who are struggling with their finances.
- Bereaved relatives facing immediate financial pressures.
- People suffering hardship because of long-term care and who need financial support to manage their treatment.
*where there is an identified medical need, the fund will consider supporting the cost of taxis
