Overview
The Andrology department in Leeds in one of the largest in the country receiving referrals from Yorkshire and across the country. We are one of the 8 UK penile cancer centres offering all aspects of disease management including reconstruction.

We are the only male fertility unit in the county, performing close to 50 surgical sperm retrievals each year in both the adult and paediatric populations. We have a dedicated cold site  for penile implants at Wharfedale where around 80-100 are performed each year.

Overview
This area of urology focuses on the surgical management of kidney, testicular and upper urothelial cancer. We can offer laparoscopic and robotic radical nephrectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy and open surgery for more advanced kidney cancer requiring thrombus removal from the vena cava. In cases of more advanced disease, we work in collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgeons for kidney cancers extending into the chest. We are fortunate to work together with the renal transplant team, providing a donor nephrectomy service and in appropriate patients ex-vivo partial nephrectomy with auto-transplantation for the management of advanced kidney cancers in a solitary kidney.

We provide major open retroperitoneal surgery for advanced testicular cancer (retroperitoneal lymph node dissection) and robotic ureterolysis.
We offer robotic nephroureterectomy for the management of upper tract urothelial cancer.

Overview
The prostate cancer team provides specialist care for men with suspected or confirmed prostate cancer, from initial diagnosis through to treatment and long-term follow-up. Our clinical interests include prostate cancer diagnostics, active surveillance, robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy and focal therapies, including HIFU. We work closely with radiology, oncology, pathology and specialist nursing colleagues to provide multidisciplinary, individualised care and support patients in choosing the treatment approach that is most appropriate for them.
