The scan(s) you are referred for will be dependent on the symptoms you have presented to the doctor, as each scan offers a different type of image, so you doctor will request based on what they think is the best option.
On occasions, the request may be changed to another type of scan, or cancelled if the Radiologist (a specialist in medical imaging) believes the requested scan will not provide the detail required for diagnosis. If this occurs our team will ensure you are updated.
